U.S. FIGURE SKATING ANNOUNCES NATIONAL SOLO DANCE FINAL

U.S. Figure Skating has officially announced the locations for the 2017 and 2018 National Solo Dance Final competitions.

From September 6th-9th,  The Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado will host the 2017 National Solo Dance Final. The Broadmoor Skating Club hosted this event for four consecutive years, from 2011 to 2014. The event was hosted by the Lansing Skating Club in Michigan in 2015, and the University of Delaware Figure Skating Club in 2016.

The 2018 National Solo Dance Final will travel back to the East coast in 2018, and will be hosted at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts by the Yarmouth Ice Club on September 14th-16th, 2018.

The U.S. Figure Skating National Solo Dance Final is the pinnacle event of the National Solo Dance Series. This series runs annually from March to August and includes a solo free dance and solo pattern dance events. Additionally, it includes a shadow dance event; this is where two skaters perform pattern dances side-by-side. There are over 50 competitions within this series every year.

If you would like more information on this event, visit the National Solo Dance Series web page or contact U.S. Figure Skating. (http://www.usfsa.org/story?id=84141)
